The stretch of beach we share extends from a residential area on the fringe of town to the cliffs of El Faro, the old lighthouse now maintained as a tourist attraction. Along the beach, you will find sandy spots great for swimming and tide-created pools fine for letting the little ones splash and play. A short walk south takes you to Steps Beach, famous for great snorkeling over the coral reefs just offshore. On days when the surf is up, boogie boarders and surfers find plenty of fun along this beach. Surfing fanatics will find good waves on most days on the beach just north of El Faro, five minutes away by car.
